How do I cancel my subscription?+
FocusLab AI subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. To cancel:
- Open iOS Settings
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap Subscriptions
- Select FocusLab AI
- Tap Cancel Subscription
Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. Refund requests are handled by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my account and data?+
You can delete your account directly from the app:
- Open FocusLab AI
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm — all your data is removed within 30 days
If you can't access the app, email support@focuslabai.app from the address tied to your account and we'll handle it within 30 days.
Why does the AI coach need Microsoft Azure OpenAI?+
FocusLab AI uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service to power conversational coaching, daily plans, weekly insights, and custom meditations. We chose Azure because:
- Conversations are not used for model training
- Data is processed in EU regions
- Enterprise-grade Data Processing Agreement (DPA) coverage
You must explicitly grant AI consent on first use, and can revoke it anytime in Settings → AI & Privacy.
What does HealthKit access do?+
When you grant HealthKit permission, FocusLab AI reads your most recent night's sleep duration to personalize coaching when you're tired. The exact hours are converted on-device into a coarse bucket (short / normal / long) — only the bucket leaves your device.
We never share HealthKit data with third parties, use it for advertising, or use it for any purpose other than personalizing coaching. Revoke anytime via iOS Settings → Privacy → Health → FocusLab AI.
Is FocusLab AI a medical or therapy service?+
No. FocusLab AI is a productivity coach, not a medical, mental health, or therapy service. The AI coach is built with explicit boundaries that prevent it from diagnosing conditions, recommending medications, or providing medical advice.
If you're experiencing a mental health crisis or need professional support, please contact a licensed mental health professional or your local crisis helpline. In the EU, dial 116 123. In the US, call or text 988.
The AI coach gave me a strange response. What do I do?+
AI output is generated automatically and may occasionally be off-base. Use your judgment before acting on any suggestion. You can rate any coach response 👍 / 🤚 / 👎 — your feedback is used to improve the persona that works best for you.
If a response is genuinely harmful or violates our guidelines, email support@focuslabai.app with a screenshot and we'll investigate.
My subscription isn't showing as active.+
Try this in order:
- Open Settings → tap your subscription tier → Restore Purchases
- Make sure you're signed into the App Store with the same Apple ID you used to purchase
- Force-quit and reopen the app
Still stuck? Email support@focuslabai.app with your purchase receipt or transaction ID and we'll restore it manually.
How do I change the language?+
FocusLab AI supports English, Türkçe, Deutsch, Español, Français, and Português. It follows your iOS system language by default. To override:
- Open iOS Settings → FocusLab AI → Language
- Pick your preferred language
