1. Who we are
FocusLab AI (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an ADHD-friendly productivity coach app published by Cloudspark Yazılım A.Ş. Contact: support@focuslabai.app.
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the FocusLab AI iOS app, why we collect it, how it's processed, and what rights you have. We follow GDPR, the California CCPA, and Apple's App Store privacy guidelines.
2. Data we collect
The app collects only what is needed to deliver coaching:

3. Apple Health (HealthKit) data
If you grant HealthKit permission, FocusLab AI reads your most recent night's sleep duration and converts it on-device into a coarse bucket (short / normal / long). Only the bucket — not the exact hours — is sent to our AI coach so it can adjust its recommendations.
We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, do not share it with data brokers, and do not use it for any purpose other than personalizing in-app coaching. You can revoke this permission anytime from iOS Settings → Privacy → Health → FocusLab AI.
4. AI processing
FocusLab AI uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service to power the AI coach, daily plan generation, weekly insights, custom meditations, and conversation summarization.
Before any data is sent to Azure, the app shows an explicit AI consent dialog naming Microsoft Azure OpenAI as the provider. You can revoke consent anytime in Settings → AI & Privacy. While consent is off, AI features are disabled and no content is transmitted to Azure.
Microsoft Azure OpenAI does not use your conversations to train their foundation models(this is the default for Azure customers). Data sent to Azure is processed in EU regions and is subject to Microsoft's Data Processing Addendum.

6. How we use your data
- To provide and personalize the AI coach experience
- To authenticate you and sync your data across devices
- To process subscription purchases
- To deliver push notifications you have opted into
- To diagnose bugs and improve product stability
- To comply with our legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data, share it with data brokers, or use it for targeted advertising.
7. Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. If you delete your account from Settings → Delete Account, all personal data is removed from our database within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymous statistics (e.g. “1,200 users completed a Pomodoro this week”) may be retained indefinitely.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email support@focuslabai.app from the address tied to your account. You can also delete your account directly from the app at any time.
9. Children
FocusLab AI is rated 17+ and is not intended for users under 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will also be announced inside the app.
